Come and join us on Sunday 25th October from 10am to 4pm. We will be celebrating Apple Day with family activities over the duration of the day. Plus, climb up to the top of Hawarden Old Castle for magnificent views of North Wales and Cheshire.
Apple Day activities will take place in around the Tin Shed to the rear of the Farm Shop. There will be plenty of family fun activities including:

A Campfire Story with Louise Foster author of The Little Pumpkin
To access the Old Castle from the big blue gates opposite The Glynne Arms in the centre of Hawarden village, or from the entrance at Hawarden Estate Farm Shop.
The Old Castle is a nationally important, Grade I listed monument, which is only open for a handful of days each year. Explore this historic site and take in breathtaking views across Hawarden Estate, North Wales and the Cheshire Plains.

All Old Castle open day ticket proceeds go to a charity chosen by our team. This time it will be donated to Tŷ Gobaith. Tŷ Gobaith, based in Conwy, North Wales, cares for babies, children and young adults up to the age of 25 years with life-threatening conditions. Ty Gobaith is a ‘home from home’ for many children and young people who are sadly suffering from life-threatening conditions and are heading into the final stages of their lives.
