Old Caste Open Day

Hawarden Old Castle is a nationally important, Grade I listed monument, which is only open for a handful of days each year. Explore this historic site and take in breathtaking views across Hawarden Estate, North Wales and the Cheshire Plains.

Pay for your ticket below, or pay on the gates on the day.

All children must be accompanied.

Paths up to the castle are steep and uneven.

Dogs are welcome on leads.

For anyone walking up to the Old Castle, we kindly ask that you make a donation to charity. This time, we will be supporting the superb Tŷ Gobaith.

Tŷ Gobaith, based in Conwy, North Wales, cares for babies, children and young adults up to the age of 25 years with life-threatening conditions. Ty Gobaith is a ‘home from home’ for many children and young people who are sadly suffering from life-threatening conditions and are heading into the final stages of their lives.

Your donation can be made in advance (below), or on the day (cash or card payments accepted).

Last admission to the Old Castle will be 2pm.
