Explorer Club

Join us for 6 weeks of Summer at Explorer Club. Over the course of 2 hours every week we will develop our skills and knowledge of all things nature! 

From flora and fauna identification to using forest tools and fire starting, each week will earn you an Explorer Badge.

When you gain all 6 badges you will receive a certificate and a goody bag at our Explorer Awards Ceremony!

Each session includes a craft workshop, which might include making models using clay or using feathers and foraged objects to sculpt, draw and paint.

There will always be a campfire to gather around, where explorers might sing or read a story. And there’s always time for hot chocolate and marshmallows, too!

Summer Series schedule

27th July - All Things Bugs: We will use our bug viewers and nature guides to search for bugs and learn all about their importance to nature.

3rd August - Explorers Explore!: We will be polishing our map reading and orienteering skills to find the forest treasure at the Wildcat Wood!

10th August - Tree Guardians: Polish up your tree knowledge with a session jam-packed with activities to connect with our wonderful natural world.

17th August - Forest Sweet Forest: We’ll make ourselves at home with den building and knot skills to build the cosiest of forest shelters!

24th August - Tool Respect: Safely using a selection of forest tools you can make your own crafts to take home!

31st of August - Fire Knights and Explorer Award Ceremony: For our last session of the summer join us in safely lighting our own fairy fires with a qualified Forest School Leader and finish off with some campfire treats and we'll celebrate all explorers at the award ceremony!

All children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the club. But don’t worry, there will be time at the start for you to grab a hot drink in the Farm Shop before we head off.
Only participating children require tickets.
