Chester's community bread making co-operative, Bread Together, will be delivering a series of six bread making workshops for a maximum of 8 participants per session. Each workshop will be themed on a different type of bread, for example, traditional bread from the UK or from the Middle East.
Each participant will make bread to take home that evening along with all of the skills to make their own bread from scratch in their own kitchen.
Sessions will use locally sourced ingredients such as traditional stone-ground flour from Walk Mill in Waverton just outside Chester, as well as organic fair trade products, including Zaytoun extra virgin olive oil.
A mid-session drink and light refreshment will be supplied from the Farm Shop cafe during the evening.
Sessions will be led by Mary Horbury, who has been working as a Community Bread Making Facilitator in Chester for the past 5 years. Her love of all things bread goes back a very long way nurtured through study and work in the Middle East, the place where bread was invented.
Each session costs £25pp. Please arrive for a 6 pm start, the class will last roughly 2.5 hours.
