Hawarden Old Castle

On select dates throughout the year, the Hawarden Old Castle is open to the public.

Head to the big red gates opposite The Glynne Arms on foot and on up to the castle for some spectacular views. All entrance fees will be donated to Clwyd Special Riding School.

Adults are £3, up to 2 children are free, and further children are £3. Toddlers go free. There is a great booklet available on the gate with a full history of the castle. All children must be accompanied, and be warned that paths up to the castle are steep. And all dogs are welcome on leads!

Hawarden Old Castle will also be open to the public from 2pm to 5pm on the following dates in 2019:

Sunday 24th March

Sunday 19th May

Sunday 16th June

Sunday 11th August
