Our highly skilled team of butchers here at the Farm Shop -Simon, Colette, Sam, Peter and Emma- is full of creativity and passion. They live by the motto 'Local is good, provenance is key'. Provenance is key to us because we not only believe in food that tastes great but that is also local, sustainable and is good for our community, the environment and our customer’s health. This week, to celebrate National Butchers' Week, we thought we'd find out a bit more about our butchers. Yesterday we introduced you to Sam, and today is the turn of Simon:

How long have you worked at the Farm Shop?
6 months

What's your favourite part of the job?
The good local produce we source and the enthusiasm to use it here at the Farm Shop. I also love the great the team spirit.

What is your favourite music to work to?

Who is your favourite chef? 
Nigel Barden and Paul Ainsworth.

Not many people know that...
Simon once played football against Brian Robson in a charity match. Simon was on the Crewe and district master butchers side and they played Cheshire police ..... they lost!!
