NATIONAL BUTCHERS’ WEEK: MEET OUR BUTCHER PETER
Our highly skilled team of butchers here at the Farm Shop -Simon, Colette, Sam, Peter and Emma- is full of creativity and passion. They live by the motto 'Local is good, provenance is key'. Provenance is key to us because we not only believe in food that tastes great but that is also local, sustainable and is good for our community, the environment and our customer’s health. This week, to celebrate National Butchers' Week, we thought we'd find out a bit more about our butchers. Yesterday we introduced you to Sam, and today is the turn of Peter:
How long have you worked at the Farm Shop?
Six and a half years.
What's your favourite part of the job?
Looking for new aspects of the job, but without forgetting tradition.

Not many people know that...
Peter has been a butcher for 54 years and for the last 20 years has been going to India every year on holiday where he hires a Royal Enfield motorbike and travels with his wife Jan. He enjoys trying all the different dishes.
