This Sunday the Old Castle will be open to the public from 2-5pm, with the azaleas in bloom and the sun out, if all goes to plan. There is a small entry fee and we are raising money for Clwyd Special Riding School. The April daffodil Old Castle opening raised over £1000 and we’d love to beat that!

The fee on the gates is £3 for adults, with up to two children free, and then £3 each for any further children and toddlers go free, all of which goes to Clwyd Special Riding School, and all children must be accompanied. Entry is on foot through the red gate opposite The Glynne Arms and there is plenty of free parking on Tinkersdale Road, about 100m from The Glynne Arms. It's then a 10 minute walk to the castle via some fairly steep paths. So you will have earned a drink at the very least, if not lunch in the pub afterwards. All dogs welcome on leads!

Unfortunately due to the the number of steps and the steep paths the Old Castle is not accessible for people with walking difficulties.
