Proms in the Park with Hawarden Cricket Club

By: Sarah Date: 05/02/14 Category: Events

Here's a classic summer event to look forward to: July 19, Proms in the Park at Hawarden Castle.

From 8pm that evening the Chester Philharmonic, supported by players from the Cambrian Orchestra and conducted by Edward Warren, will perform a stirring programme that will include the flag-waving sing-along traditionals at the end. The pre-event line-up involves some more contemporary acts, including Jenna & Paul, the Cool Blues and Hawarden High School rock band providing the warm-up from 4.30pm. After that, it's a case of sitting back in your picnic chair, glass of fizz in hand, to enjoy the balmy evening, the lovely setting and the music. Did we mention picnic? You'll need one of those too – and the best way to organise that is to come along to the Farm Shop and put together your own hamper with goodies from the deli. We'll be there to help.

It’s not a Hawarden Estate event but we are happily selling tickets to the event on behalf of the Cricket Club, or follow the link for more information.
